HOUSTON’S AWARD-WINNING GIN
HOUSTON BORN GIN WITH A MEDITERRANEAN FLAIR
Our Story
Inspired by the native Ojibwe Tribes of the Midwest, Flower Moon represents the month of May where we witness the flora’s rebirth under the spring moon light. This exquisite premium gin originates from a 6 time distilled 100% grain neutral spirit, combined with 13 different botanicals, highlighting the essence of the handpicked Mediterranean thyme, resulting in a balanced, unique and distinguished flavor.
The Ojibwe tribes, located near the Great Lakes, refer to May’s full moon as the Flower Moon because the plants are beginning to “display their spirit sides.” May’s full moon is known as the Flower Moon because it rises when flowers are beginning to bloom and blossom.
The Name
“…In May, when coyotes howl beneath an unnervingly large moon, taller plants, such as spiderworts and black-eyed Susans, begin to creep over tinier blooms, stealing their light and water. The necks of the smaller flowers break and their petals flutter away, and before long they are buried underground.
This is why the Osage Indians refer to May as the time of the flower-killing moon.” - from the book “Killers of The Flower Moon by David Grann”
